Plant Dyed Wool Felt Sheets

An enticing range of gentle, earthy tones, our artisan range of botanically dyed wool felt is a delight to craft with.

Local, small batch dyed-by-hand, using A-grade, 100% pure new wool BioFelt, the most natural undyed felt available. Fine and stong, it is ökotex standard 100 to ensure it contains no harmful substances. 

Botanically dyed by hand, a slow, multi-step process of preparing the fabric and extracting colours from locally foraged plants and extracts. This collection includes Wattle (Acacia Nilotica) Cutch (Acacia catechu) and Fustic (Chlorophora tinctoria) , Rooibos tea and Eucalyptus

Sheet sizes vary, minimum 25x25cm and approx 2mm thick, each sheet has it's own unique character reflecting the variations resulting from dyeing small batches by hand. Different shades, tones and variegations are part of the charm of artisan dyeing with locally foraged plant materials and botanical extracts.

This felt is just beautiful for craft, toy making, doll making, home decorations, accessories, patching and embellishing garments.
